APRIL 20, 2009: SEVERAL PRE-ALBUM RELEASE FEST SHOWS ANNOUNCED!
THE ELMS have announced several festival shows for Summer 2009. These dates will preceed the arrival of the band's new album, which has a late-August expected release date. These dates will be the first handful of shows that THE ELMS have performed since creating their new album, and their first shows since February. Expect to hear many new songs at these shows!

FEBRUARY 13, 2009: NEW ALBUM RECORDING PROCESS TO BE STREAMED LIVE!
Beginning on Monday, February 23 at 10amEST, THE ELMS will begin the recording process for their next studio album, due in Summer 2009! TheElms.net is happy to announce that the entire recording process will be streamed LIVE here at THE ELMS' Official Website! Using the player on the homepage, you'll be able to watch the band as they create the most ambitious album of their lives so far, with an estimated 18 new songs to be recorded! THE ELMS' recording sessions are notoriously spirited, so you won't want to miss any of the happenings.

JANUARY 15, 2009: SHORT FEBRUARY MINI-TOUR ANNOUNCED!
Beginning on February 7 in Nashville, THE ELMS will embark on a short midwestern U.S. tour in order to shake off the holiday dust before entering the recording studio in late February. The tour dates will be a part of the Everything Burns Tour with Lights Resolve and Shirock.

THE ELMS will spend most of February and March recording their new album. Big announcements are coming very soon about the recording and release of the next album, which promises to be the most ambitious recording that THE ELMS have offered to date. Thom discusses the beginnings of pre-production for the album in his most recent BLOG. If you haven't already, you'll certainly want to be on the band's MAILING LIST to be kept up-to-date on all the most recent news!

JANUARY 6, 2009: "PROMISES" RELEASED FOR STREAMING ON MYSPACE!
Since THE ELMS are back in the swing of studio work, they wanted to offer you a chance to listen to an unreleased track to tide you over until the new album is ready! The studio version of "Promises" is now available for streaming at the band's MYSPACE site, so head over to listen now!

"Promises" has been a part of THE ELMS' live repertoire since 2007, and this version of the song was tracked and mixed in early 2008.

JANUARY 6, 2009: THE ELMS TO PERFORM AT 2009 SxSW FESTIVAL!
THE ELMS
are pleased to announce that they will perform, along with hundreds of other modern acts, at the 2009 South By Southwest music festival in Austin, TX this March. This will be the band's first return to Austin since touring there in support of THE CHESS HOTEL in late Summer '06.

OCTOBER 22, 2008: GREAT NEW INTERVIEW WITH TRACER MAGAZINE POSTED!
TRACER MAGAZINE has posted a new interview with THE ELMS that was conducted just before the band's set at the Midpoint Music Festival last month. This interview was one of the rare times that the entire band weighed in on subjects ranging from new music to the politics of inter-band relationships.

OCTOBER 20, 2008: MORE NOVEMBER TOUR DETAILS REVEALED...
TheElms.net has received inquiries regarding THE ELMS' 2008 fall tour dates and whether the band will be headlining the dates. Many of the shows will be shared bills with the excellent MIKE DUNN AND THE KINGS OF NEW ENGLAND.

Here's the clarified news: On all remaining 2008 tour dates, THE ELMS will either be headlining or co-headlining, and full-length sets (50 minutes or more) can be expected at all dates. All times on the LIVE page of this site are listed to give you plenty of arrival time to see THE ELMS' set at each tour date. If you arrive by the time given on this site, you'll have plenty of time to ensure seeing THE ELMS' entire set!

The band are thrilled to return to the road this November, so don't miss THE ELMS live this fall!

OCTOBER 20, 2008: THE ELMS GO "OFF THE RECORD" WITH INDIANAPOLIS STAR!

SEPTEMBER 29, 2008: THE ELMS TO APPEAR ON BOB & TOM RADIO SHOW.
On Monday October 6, THE ELMS will appear on the popular Bob & Tom Radio Show, broadcast from rock radio station Q95 WFBQ in Indianapolis. The band will perform two songs, including their brand-new single, "THIS IS HOW THE WORLD WILL END", in addition to being interviewed on the show. The band's segment begins at 10am.

SEPTEMBER 22, 2008: THE ELMS ROCK FARM AID 2008!

On September 20, THE ELMS joined Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews, The Pretenders, and more at Farm Aid 2008 at the Comcast Center outside Boston, MA. The band performed a short afternoon set, and rejoined the performers onstage during Willie Nelson's set for a performance of "I'll Fly Away."

Farm Aid 2008 was broadcast in its entirety on DirecTV's channel 101, and included THE ELMS' recorded performances and an interview with Owen Thomas.

THE ELMS are extremely proud to announce the release of their brand-new digital single, "THIS IS HOW THE WORLD WILL END", for download exclusively through their official website, TheElms.net! This is no ordinary release, and the band has prepared an incredible package for you, all for only $3.99!

The special maxi-single includes the official studio version of "This Is How The World Will End", as well as an acoustic version of the song! Also, THE ELMS' rollicking new track, "The Shake", will be included in the package as a B-side! AUGUST 28, 2008: INDY: THE ELMS TO PERFORM ON NBC TOMORROW!
On Friday, August 29, THE ELMS will perform their new song, "This Is How The World Will End" on Indianapolis' NBC television station WTHR 13 during their morning show. The band will perform at approximately 6:15am (early!), and will also be interviewed during the segment. Some of you may have noticed "...World Will End" accompanying a new campaign on the station aimed at highlighting various economic and personal struggles facing midwestern residents in the present day.

AUGUST 21, 2008: SETLISTS FROM THE NETHERLANDS!
To conclude their run of European shows, THE ELMS performed two special hour-long sets at the Flevo Festival in Bussloo, Holland on August 14 and 15. The first was a mainstage performance, and the second was an intimate set on the festival's encore stage to a capacity crowd of 1000.

MAY 15, 2008: "THE SHAKE" TO BE FEATURED ON EA'S NHL 2009 GAME...

THE ELMS' brand-new, as-yet-unreleased track "The Shake" will be included on the soundtrack to EA Sports' NHL 2009 video game! The game will be available for play on most modern gaming platforms, including PC, PlayStation3, and XBox360. Planned release date for the game is early fall.
